Hey wanna see the steps I use to make my comic? I've done a lot to figure a balance of simplicity and challenge in the style used in Yuna & Kawachan. Every comic/production will differ in its approach. Also some Episode 37 panel previews! (Spoilers if you're not up to Ep35)
The new 80s American Girl doll was unveiled today but like a lot of modern AG designs, the fashion isn't exactly an accurate depiction of what a 9 year old would have worn in 1986 and more of 2020 80s aesthetic. It took 20 min to try making doodles with more awkward 80s flair
SPOILERS if you haven't read Yuna & Kawachan (seriously avert your eyes! This is for readers only, go read my comic first!) The first sketches when i figured out what I wanted to do with the design plus the first rough panel I drew. Also some isolated inking I liked a lot
In honor of Queen B Itsumi getting featured a little in this week's episode of Yuna & Kawachan, here's some rough design sketches! Her very first design before the hair got cut (2018), some young Itsumi designs (each from 2019), and the designs for her grandmother
I have a fully colored Halloween costume pic for Yuna and Kawachan but i also had another couples costume idea that I needed to quickly sketch. Kawachan is Gritty and Yuna is a hockey puck
The joke might be dead at this point but here's Tears of the Kingdom: Wiggle to Detach (colorized)
MILD SPOILERS for the very beginning of Tears of the Kingdom. I've been cracking myself up thinking about Link's new arm and how Rauru attached it
I finally watched Good Omens and yeah okay Crowley and Aziraphale are pretty fun
Visual representation that art and design can change over time. When I started Yuna & Kawachan, I tried to get my idea out quickly but the design has refined over the years. Junichiro and Kawachan are in a tie for best glow up: thank god I learned to draw them eventually
Dusty the silent cat witch
All the cool kids are doing it also go read Yuna & Kawachan :3c
