Nyankichi is a cat with a snake on its head because his village is known for making straw cat beds and for its record-breaking 83-meter-long straw snake.
Nyankichi, a cat with a snake on his head, has been adopted as the mascot for the village of Sekikawa, in Niigata, Japan. Originally created in 2009 to promote a local walking tour, Nyankichi is glad to get the gig after 14 years of job-hunting.
