This is so fascinating! I've spent so long trying to figure out how to emulate that style and maaan does it envolve a lot of different knowledge. I feel like I got somewhere with this Kim Possible, but there's still something missing
I worked on the latest Valorant cinematic as a texture/lookdev artist and I got to work on Harbor! This was the most complex character I painted and I'm pretty happy with how he turned out.
You know, this art stuff is pretty hard. I'm posting this evolution of my 3D work just to give myself a little pat on the back. I kinda need it today lol
And with Kim Possible, I wanted to take a low poly model and give it another look through texture painting. The idea here is that the highlights and shadows would look simpler and more geometric (like that green triangle you see on her cheek)
