In any case, after deciding the composition and poses of each character, I sketch out the form. This is the most grueling part of the drawing process for me, making sure the characters have the correct anatomy, outfits, size etc. 1

Since the idea I had for his painting was quite complex, I went through a few iterations of thumbnails trying to find the right dynamic poses for everyone. Eventually, I settled on the 4th image. At this point, I consider these sketches for my eyes only. 4
