For Pasifika, EVERYTHING has a soul and thus has mana, be a physical location or an ordinary object. Having NO mana means you do not have a soul and don't exist.

In Gachiakuta it's called "Anima" and they're formed from a "Thought". Thoughts are the cores of Trash Beasts and Jinki, but while no one knows what Thought creates the Beasts, we do know the Jinki are only formed when someone cherishes an object as if it has a Soul.
