Some closeups! I painted this 90 min at a time trying to avoid triggering never ending migraine symptoms, and I think it actually worked out in my favor. Avatar state Korra coming down the pipeline too eventually!
Totally inspired, of course, by this iconic scene from Howl's Moving Castle (left) and here is a closeup as well of little Howl in my piece (right)Been really enjoying this Ghibli faux movie poster series so far, I really want to improve my illustrative design skills!
These brushes, like all my brushes, as designed as a free and available resource to be used in any work you wish, including commercial work that you profit off of, with no license, payment, or credit required. Enjoy!
And the final of course. I've been doing more voiceover on process videos and I'm growing to like it, I think it's nice to have a chance to talk about the art process and story a little bit. I'll probably continue!
I made this video for Tiktok but thought you guys might enjoy it too!Download demo was painted in Photoshop, there are a few minor brush differences between programs due to brush engine differences
Some closeups! I actually struggled a lot with this piece but in the end I'm really happy with it! Sometimes pushing through the struggle is very worthwhile. In all I think I spent about 30 hours on this, and at least 5 were on layers that ended up fully deleted and redone!
I've been really wanting a real OC! She spends most of her time in her undersea workshops, and only comes ashore to the human world to gather ingredients. Her magical cloak transforms into eagle-ray fins!
