I know people don't like the Culture Fest arc as it's relatively low stakes compared to other arcs, but Gentle Criminal was the first antagonist Deku could really sympathize with and understand, since Deku recognizes he could've become like Gentle if hadn't been so fortunate
With previous antagonists, Deku hadn't considered what made them villains and was only focused on beating them He acknowledges they hurt people, but its important he wants to understand the underlying causes now since most of them suffered due to flaws in hero/quirk based society
I think this would be interesting! Of course the obvious choice for the one who is saved but sacrifices himself would be Shigaraki. It's been repeated numerous times the severity of his crimes, but Deku still recognizes how he is suffering under AFO's control and needs saving https://t.co/RaJBy1jFmm
For who is saved and lives I'd go with Toga. She wants to be able to live freely but that puts her in conflict with society Shes always been preoccupied with who the heroes deem worth saving and who is considered too far gone, so it would make sense to save her despite her crimes
That leaves Dabi for the one who cant be saved He delights in the harm he causes and has no desire to be saved. He is entirely fuelled by his revenge Even if someone tried to save him, he would probably reject it as he has decided to dedicate his life to making Endeavour suffer
