kabru probably told laios this story to make a connection, he was probably like "i'll tell him a monster story that's actually a little positive for me. he can learn a little bit about me, and hopefully he'll share something about him too!" with anyone else it would have worked
shuro falling in love with falin because she was admiring something that most women would find ugly and terrifying. meanwhile everyone thinks laios is a freak and a menace to society because he admires monsters in exactly the same way
laios not recognizing kabru but recognizing kuro because he's a kobold...laios is the type of guy that doesn't talk to his neighbors but gets excited when he meets them on walks bc they have a dog
(dungeon meshi ending spoilers) kabru, unasked, being like "YOU NEED A PR AGENT BOY, AND IM HERE. LETS WRITE YOU A NARRATIVE"
(dungeon meshi spoilers) i think laios should have been allowed to keep a few of his monster features. i think he deserves that much
tbh my favorite part of dungeon meshi is that this panel, izutsumi is clearly referencing this crying cat meme, which came from a picture of my cat inkky. :) inkky passed away in 2020 but tbh i feel a special attachment to izutsumi because of this one panel, like...thats my girl
laughing at kabru being called skinny as a way to underhandedly call him really really bad at not getting killed
i love that other people find him off-putting and strange but he can effortlessly get animals to love him. realest character in the world for my fellow Weird Boys
saw someone else make one of these and i thought i'd put in my take
i love when kui draws laios completely neutral and he has this air of quiet misery and apathy to him. i haven't noticed that in the anime yet. he exudes this aura of boredom and resentment sometimes, the way she draws him.
wtf is this autism creature chilchuck why did she draw his eyes like that
oh god. it's happening
no....you will fight for your life
