the way i interpret this bonus comic is that even though chilchuck obviously knows what sex is, he didn't know exactly how fertilization works and senshi's explanation was actually a little touching and interesting to him
inspired by people in my notes being confused about trans men lol (she means well and isn't being intentionally transphobic i just dont think any of the toudens have ever put any thought into gender, including falin and laios before they came to the island)

tbh my favorite part of dungeon meshi is that this panel, izutsumi is clearly referencing this crying cat meme, which came from a picture of my cat inkky. :) inkky passed away in 2020 but tbh i feel a special attachment to izutsumi because of this one panel, like...thats my girl

i love when kui draws laios completely neutral and he has this air of quiet misery and apathy to him. i haven't noticed that in the anime yet. he exudes this aura of boredom and resentment sometimes, the way she draws him.
