It's #PortfolioDay! I'm Yoshi! I like experimenting with color and exploring myths and legends from around the world. For today, I picked one piece from each of my three art books: Mermaid Hues, Fairy Friends, and Foxy Fashions.

Some of you have already seen this one on IG! Part of a personal exercise in drawing mermaids. What's your favorite detail?

"Till human voices wake us and we drown..." Another mermaid experiment. I really like the dynamic motion and color in this one! What's your favorite mermaid pose?

"A mermaid found a swimming lad, Picked him for her own, Pressed her body to his body, Laughed; and plunging down Forgot in cruel happiness That even lovers drown." An experiment with different tail and fin shapes. Do you like sweet mermaids or sharp ones?
