A peak into my @procreateapp sketchbook for the comic. I'm working out the town location and the flow of the story across it. Helps me with staging panels and even gives me ideas for how a character moves from one space to the next. 4

Early 2005 I got the Oddworld art book and discovered Steven Olds. Found out he was head of vis dev at rockstar games and they were making a sequel to Red Dead Revolver. I was like, what??!! Applied for a concept job there and tried to be him for the next 5 years. 4

More work stuff. At this point character pitches got loose so 3D proxies could be made and tested before we committed. Never got to do another pass on it. Early drone sketches as well. Oh, in this pitch sketch she's japanese/indian so that's why her hair is straight. 4

These were sort of warm up sketches as I was trying to find my footing before doing the above paintings and designs. Nothing is resolved, nothing is compelling yet, but there are elements/ideas/palettes that I'll carry forward. Design is a process. 1
