It was usually Betty who inflicted the damage, wasn't it. She sure packed a punch.

Art from THE LONG TOMORROW by Mœbius and Dan O'Bannon. The comic, published in MÉTAL HURLANT in 1976, was an obvious influence on the look of BLADE RUNNER. (Mix it with Syd Mead's art and you're there.) Its influence reached wider however: Escape from NY, Tron, Alien, and more.

Ron Cobb concept art for TOTAL RECALL (1990). First film I went to on my own. It made a big impression on me: the bleak atmosphere, the gore, the deceased mutants, the red-hued Mars, Sharon Stone… The final battle though I find a bit of an endurance test to sit through.

Models for 1978 Hanna-Barbera series, JANA OF THE JUNGLE. The show followed the trope of the "female Tarzan", much like Sheena, Queen of the Jungle, Shanna the She-Devil, Kara the Jungle Princess, and many others.

Art by Iwao Takamoto (1925-2007). After working for Disney (where he assisted Marc Davis & Milt Kahl), Takamoto went on to work at Hanna-Barbera, where he designed the Scooby-Doo gang, among others. Image 1 shows his pitch art for that show, 2 is pitch art for Penelope Pitstop.
