Recently I've been replaying Little Big Adventure 2 and thinking about how it would look if given the remake treatment, as it hasn't aged particularly well. Here are some sketches I've been doing of Twinsen, the protaganist and some pics from the game for comparison.
Some sketches of Twinsen's girlfriend, Zoe (and her unfortunate looking in-game model). With the "Quetch" characters I felt like I should try to distance them from straight-up humans with ponytails, hence the big Moomin style snouts.
Some planning sketches from when I was trying to figure out the style for this model! Ultimately ended up going for a design that pushed the proportions a bit more.
A peek at the process! It took a lot of redraws and deleted attempts to get to the final layout.
