@malacodart Yeah, I love checking the indie scene because I'll always find a visual style that looks unique and creative. Of course a game doesn't automatically need an unique aesthetic to be good (like Hunt: Showdown you mentioned), but it sure helps to stand out from the crowd.

I visited the SFMOMA and discovered the works of Bernd and Hilla Becher. It's like a « where have you been all my life? » moment.





I'm trying out the newly released Quake 2 remaster, and one of the additions is a concept art section where they show the most rudimentary drawings for the purpose of preservation. I wish more remasters would think of adding this kind of bonus.

I'm not really into Techno, but recently I discovered the album Against a Dark Background by Spektre and I've been listening to it on repeat. Great to listen to while working or just wandering around the city.

Reading again "刑務所の中" ("Doing Time") by Kazuichi Hanawa. It's a manga about the 3 years he spent in prison. Very interesting to read how different Japanese prisons are compared to the usual American prisons we see in movies. Also his drawing style is definitely unique.
