This is still one of my all time favorite movie posters.

I visited the SFMOMA and discovered the works of Bernd and Hilla Becher. It's like a « where have you been all my life? » moment.

I'm trying out the newly released Quake 2 remaster, and one of the additions is a concept art section where they show the most rudimentary drawings for the purpose of preservation. I wish more remasters would think of adding this kind of bonus.

I went to the Gegege no Kitaro expo in Ikebukuro. The first part is devoted to the history of the TV series, but the second part is filled with tributes from various artists, and it was really cool. A must for Kitaro fans who happen to be in Tokyo right now.

I'm not really into Techno, but recently I discovered the album Against a Dark Background by Spektre and I've been listening to it on repeat. Great to listen to while working or just wandering around the city.

Production art from Ghost in the Shell and Innocence, on display at the GITS exhibition in Tokyo.

Reading again "刑務所の中" ("Doing Time") by Kazuichi Hanawa. It's a manga about the 3 years he spent in prison. Very interesting to read how different Japanese prisons are compared to the usual American prisons we see in movies. Also his drawing style is definitely unique.

#inktober #Inktober2019 No prompt, just wanted to draw stuffs for fun. Based on a sculpture by James W Cain.
