I'm absolutely terrible with finishing personal projects/ideas so THIS time you'll have to peer pressure me into taking a few hours each week so I can rough out this script? It's from 2008 and I did page 1/9 like 5+ years ago, pffff (latter two pictures). I forgot how to draw him 3

..and to stick with the Astérix theme, some older art… 8 years ago Eurofurence asked me to draw some material for their convention which had a Roman theme that year. Their chairman's nickname is Cheetah, so that was too easy! I put special effort into imitating the autograph :P 4

A few years prior I also got to draw the shirt for this con. Sadly I never attended myself but I still see people walk around with the shirt at other events which is cool! The mascot is a mix between a fox and a squirrel and it was fun to redesign him in a simpler cartoon style. 3

I don't know, do the franchises I draw for count as my styles? They're established and I try to mold myself to someone else's rules, which is both a fun challenge and also frustrating at times. I have far more extreme examples, but can't show those for now… #4styles 4

Latest weekly: Tim Artz' background gags are always such a joy. And Bernado's Brers make me very happy. Also, Hockney by Maarten Gerritsen. I think the weekly has a new, more matte paper type now? I like it! These comics look the best on non-glossy paper, imho. 4

Just watched 'Stage Door Cartoon' for the very first time and... I didn't even know Jack Bradbury was ever an animator. I only know his Disney comics, especially the weird crossover ones. He drew hundreds. Curious what scenes he animated in movies! https://t.co/c2haaGgQcH 4

Design for a mouse in a Brer Rabbit comic. I based his tiny outfit on Brer Raccoon's from the movie.There are so many recurring 'brer' characters, I'm surprised there wasn't a mouse. Though I didn't think to look for unlisted characters and found one drawn by Riley Thomson later. 4

Brer Terrapin was really fun too. His design varies a lot so I tried to pick my favorite things from several different artists. He only appears in the movie very briefly. 4

Some of my favorite Brer Foxes. I just love his design so much, I can hardly think of a character I find more fun to draw, but he can be tricky and frustrating to get right! His legs and pants took me the longest to learn, same for Brer Rabbit. Crazy cartoon logic! 4

Yaaay the Donald Duck magazine came early this week, and it contains the Brer Rabbit two-pager I drew! It was written by Frank Jonker. It's such an honor to be able to contribute to the magazine I loved so much growing up. It'll be in stores in the Netherlands from Friday on. 4
