Altijd leuk om stiekem het ene wereldje te verstoppen in het andere wereldje. (En dan hopelijk niet worden aangeklaagd) Dit is voor een bewerking van 'Het Geheim van het Nevelmoeras' wat als het goed is dit voorjaar uit komt bij uitgeverij Rubinstein. 1

Thrilled that I got to chat with Mark de Jonge and got this 1970s page from him. Written by Thom Roep with layout sketches by Daan Jippes and final art by De Jonge. I always thought overly dramatic/agressive Scrooge was hilarious as a kid and this page particularly made me laugh.4

Many of Mike's boards were so nice that I would just draw straight over them on a new layer and push/streamline the poses a little. I got assigned the board where his mouth is shut but I love that open-mouthed Bugs he drew in the more zoomed in board2

The first ran in the newspaper when I was 16 and I got to buy the second album directly from Daan at a comic con a few years later. Lucky me,I loved to study the art as I was practising to draw. It's strongly inspired by 1950s Franquin which was then still new to me. 4

Someone kindly sent me a photo! I like that BOTS didn't get translated (Bots = the sound of a collission or car crash, as the full word for those in Dutch is 'botsing') 1

Another comic I drew on the back of the Dutch Disney comic weekly! Photo courtesy of my mom 😊 (I'm still sick unfortunately, but slowly starting to recover) I believe there's one more coming from me in the next weeks, and then Tim Artz will take it home until the end of 2022. 1
