I find it kind relaxing to shave away at character poses forever, though I strive for some perfection I can never really reach. I'll be too busy for weeks/months, then finally throw on a new layer and scribble on stuff that seems obvious after not looking at if for a good while.

My parents pre-ordered the newest Little Golden Book and sent me pictures yesterday so I guess its Suez canal troubles are finally over! It was so great to collaborate on this with Tim, his name should really be up front. It's a huge honor to draw a (Dutch) golden book.

There's multiple versions of this comic about a talking balloon that takes on the shape and personality of the person who inflates it. One published in Revue in 1964, and one in Donald Duck magazine in 1984, drawn in 1953. Here's a scene that didn't make it into the golden book!

And here's another! Titled `Kleintje Kerstboom' which comes with cardboard Christmas ornaments in the back. An existing book that I adapted to a larger square format by making a new cover adding new/different spreads.
